YOU SHALL BE CALLED BY A NEW NAME
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. *Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. *Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. Isaiah 62:2-4
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness… It’s possible that after one had encountered the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; such person is still lost among the crowd, hidden and not being noticed, not recognize for any exploit. The real essence of Salvation is galloping out of darkness to light but once your being saved doesn’t bring you out of darkness and make your life a glorious one; then something is needed to be fixed because an encounter with God, his son Jesus and the Holy Ghost always left people with unforgettable experiences.
Peter encountered the HolyGhost and that brought him out; as his chicken fearful heart was turned to that of lion; he became fearless. The result of his fearlessness was bold declarations and daring for the gospel sake. His encounter with the HolyGhost empowered him to rise and represent his Lord well. Acts 4:18-20 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. *But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. *For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
The encounter of Peter and the rest of the disciples with the Holy Ghost proved that encountering the HolyGhost will make you someone to talk about and a person that can’t be silenced as you represent your Lord and master Jesus Christ. When any man or woman encounter Salvation, such needed to move further to HolyGhost Baptism in order to be empowered and become Christ’s witness with proves. Once the HolyGhost comes on you, there will be a change of name for you, the way people received and relate with you will change, you will receive power to sustain righteousness and speak the word of God with boldness, not apologetically. You will break limits as the Spirit of God rules your life. Most of the respected men and women of God earn it by the Spirit of God not knowledge of men. In our localities, our neighbourhood, just around us, some respected Christians are referred to as ‘man of God, woman of God’ Pastor’ ‘my Prophet… not that they brand themselves but were called by the people.
Therefore if your righteousness is blazing, the world around you will re-brand you with a new (godly) name.
…and all kings thy glory… there are people that don’t need to introduce themselves to the king anymore. World leaders can’t claim not to have heard of them. Their names had travelled across kingdoms, regions and palaces almost everywhere in the world. Therefore If you choose to matter to your generation in any field of endeavour; align your life with the truth; God’s word.
…and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name…
Yes! As your life and destiny profit the Lord, you will be called by a new name. We need to note that before the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, names were perfect but after the fall of man Genesis 2:19-23 people begin to give names to themselves and childrenbased on their mood, happening, idols they worship, and foolishness. If you hear some names, you might be able to guess right the event that surrounds the name. Their are names of people and places that directly glorify the devil and his handiwork. There are men who had nice names but the evil in their life negate their names because initially they shouldn’t be called that name. In Luke 1:11-16 … And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. *And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. *But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John…
It’s better to name a child according to God’s voice. Every great child comes with his name but how many parents are in tune with God’s Spirit to know what God is saying per time? If a child bears the correct name, such child will fulfilled destiny and be raised without struggle. Names can be a major blockage as the intention and reasons behind the name will follow the carrier of that name everywhere. In every nation of the world, names can be legally changed, so it is very important that the moment you divinely secure a new name, register it legally.
Terrible Names From The Bible:
- Names such as Nabal, Ichabod and Jabez were names associated withfoolishness, departed glory and sorrow. So you won’t find any Christian that will call his child or self such names because they have to do with evil. 1Chronicle 4: 9-1, Ist Samuel 25:25, 1 Samuel 4:21 people should be careful in naming things and children after evil because it will answer. Don’t be like a brother that called himself Ajakaiye (which means fighting all around the world) the funny thing is that until he encountered Christ and his name was changed, he was been beaten everywhere and moving from one trouble to another. Even in the fight that doesn’t concern him, he’ll end up being injured.
- Names such as Saul, Judas Iscariot, Cain, Achan, Alexander the Coppersmith, Pilate, Pharaoh… are contaminated by the evil character of some men that are called by that name in the past and their evil deeds were obvious. Hardly would you find a man that will call his daughter Jezebel, Delilah or Attaliah; they were good names corrupted by some personalities in the past. Yet some men want to name their son Peter and their daughter Mary, because of the exploit associated with those names carriers in the Bible. The Bible says Proverbs 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
- Names such as Moses, Samuel, Samson… are tied to an event, answered prayers and divine encounter which are good but to be watched. Exodus 2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water., 1st Samuel 1:20, Judges 13:11-25
- Names such as Abraham, Sarah, John the Baptist, Jesus, were new names given by God because they were tied to divine assignment. Up until now, God still gives new names. If you notice that you have a proper child, it’s a wise thing to enquire from the Lord for his name. Also if you believe that Children are Heritage of the Lord, then enquire of the Lord, otherwise message and preaching on vision and divine assignment will do no good to any one answering the wrong names. The following scriptures proved it And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21, Genesis 17:3-16, Luke 1:13-14,63
A Change Of Names:
God reserves a change of name for everyone that encounter him. More so, for you to be called a child of God, a servant of God, a Christian; a believer, is a major change of name. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12. If the name you are called is a major blocker to your person or make you fail, you can secure a change of name from the Lord via warfare prayers and encounter with heavenly personalities. Their are men and women called into divine assignment that before they start, God changes their names first. A name given by God is always generational. It makes a single man to become a nation. The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. Isaiah 9:8.
In Genesis 32: 24-30 Jacob was changed by God to Israel after an all night prayers. Saul was changed to Paul when he encountered the Lord on his way to Damascus, Act 13:9. I decree a change of name for you right now in Jesus name. Until you bare the right name, you won’t have the right attitude and not walk in new glory. Receive a new name today in Jesus name. There are names in the Bible changed by some individuals (King) to suite culture or own them but wasn’t recognized and carried no weight because in the preceding story, Joseph was not referred to as Zaphnath-paaneah Genesis 41:45 neither was Daniel called Belteshazzar; Daniel 1:7 so this proved to us that changing one’s name based on culture or language barrier has nothing to do with the person if they are God’s people. So the name someone called you to suite a particular situation should not be submitted to or accepted.
New Name
Righteousness will always enforce a new name. You will notice that the righteous one are been referred to in an honourable way but the wicked and ungodly are called terrible names. In the Bible Dove is used to represent the Holy Spirit but dogs and goats were used to represent the ungodly. 2nd Peter 2:22. You Can Become Special: …Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. *Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. It all begins with righteousness. Many believers don’t get to this level before they are trapped and instead of being an instrument of comfort and faith, they are children of wrath.
