Discovering Satan’s tactics in Matthew 4:5-7
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. * Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Satan can use anything to deceive people, once he knows what you really want, your aspirations and what you Love. He’s so subtle that he can even throw you scriptures in a corny way to push you down. Men and women that can resist devilish word based on deceit are not many. This is the more reason we need to grow in our intimacy with God because the devil also get people misdirected at the word point. God’s word sent to you will create the right passion but word of God coming to your heart as a result of ill thought, evil heart and jealousy may not be sent by God. Once you began to quote scriptures to ruin a person, system or even church ministry, that’s not from God. And once Satan could set your heart on the wrong passion, to recover you back will be difficult. Jesus said to him Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
The devil is so ticklish that he can tell you to do what should not try at all, such that if do it once, that will be your end Listen! When a prayer points comes out of a sent word, it doesn’t miss target but using scriptures to back up your prayer points may not answer. Sent word first then prayer next. The following are worthy of note.
- If you have been thinking that a particular person or people should die, you might pick up a suitable scripture for that purpose as their are many of them.
- If you have been thinking of setting up a running others down venture, you might wake up with a scripture that seems God sent to you.
- If the devil want you down, he might come to you with God says.
- Binding yourselves with certain scriptures which is not sent for the hour will only bound you the more.
It’s good to note that the Bible can give birth to vision but not using the Bible to support your Vision (ambition). Yes it is possible to receive God’s call or Vision without God’s word, by prayer and much study God can send you the word for that Vision. Satan tramples on the word for Adam and Eve. That leads to death and evacuation from the Garden.
We Christians needs to be careful and note that we don’t use scriptures to back up our intentions, visions, or ministry but let the scriptures give birth to them. Anything word birthed is graceful and carries divine presence. God will not back up your intentions because you quote scriptures but he’s already inside whatever the scriptures gave birth to. I commend you to God that the wicked will not destroy you with his multifaceted manipulations. If you are not born again, you are already manipulated and you might soon be annihilated.
