FATHERS OF FAITH
Matthew 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
Every man is not perfect, we have our flaws. We offends ourselves The Bible says For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. James 3:2. So stop looking for a perfect man because you may never find one. Yet their is something you should keep looking for in godly men (and godly women too) on Earth is the perfect gift of God. James 1:17 says Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
1.Therefore the father you don’t accept can’t feather you.
2. The mentor you don’t celebrate, you won’t emulate
If you want any grace upon any just man of God to rob on you then you have to celebrate and honour him in your heart.
If you have found me Ayonimyte as a mentor or father in the Lord, then don’t focus on my flaws but on the gifts. God granted me some terrible grace to succeed in all assignments and to live outside pains and sicknesses. Everyone following me are great leaders in their respective places. The fact is that I may not be your spiritual father or mentor but whoever God had chosen for you should be celebrated, respected, honoured and enjoy good will from you.
If you desired my grace then forgive me in your heart and the Divine deposit in me will surely rob on you. 1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Note: that every man and woman on the earth are unique individually. Also no matter how powerful, anointed or well mannered any man of God or good leader might be; you should not imbibe their character to rule-out your uniqueness. We found cases of junior pastors talking like their head-Pastor, some even went far by personalizing his testimonies, relating and reacting like him; all these are relegating your personal qualities. Submitting to any spiritual father should not make us think that we are less human. Talk, dance, walk and do things morally like you. Truly good act can be copied but to your own style. The Bible warns: Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Our fathers in the faith have there well defined place in our Christian journey but we surrendering our path in life to them is very wrong. Some Fathers in the faith are buffeted with the spirit of anger, some might be struggling with immorality and some it’s sickness or something hidden, be careful less the same jump on you. If care is not taken, you will not see farter than them and each time you heard divine voice; it will be there spirit speaking to you. Break the chain and face reality. Don’t desert your fathers of faith but do not wear them as cloak. You are also unique.
