Your Response.

The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. Proverb 16:1

Your response matters a lot in the battles of life, it matters to things happening within, without and around you. Your response determines the next action. The force behind your response determines may be the situation will obey you or not, it isn’t speaking that put you in command but the force behind your words. On this very important topic Your Response, let us look at this well known subject:

THE POWER OF THE TONGUE

So many scripture speaks directly on the power of the tongue. Yet it’s good to appreciate that, no verbal communication without the usage of tongue. Our tongue is of utmost importance to our communications, for instance those that suffers from impaired tongue, wounded tongue, tongue diseases, or the slow tongue or dumb person won’t be able to communicate effectively with sound. If not for the help of Aaron, Moses would have suffered difficulty in communicating with Pharaoh and the children of Israel, In fact …Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.   *And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?   *Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.   *And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.   *And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. Exodus 4:10-14.

Even our Lord Jesus made use of his tongue to teach, command and expand the things of the kingdom. The tongue is important to any man or woman without which; what you have within may not be expressed as expected. It’s worthy of note according to scriptures that the tongue of a man can re-order his life aright or out of destiny context. What you say about yourself matters a lot. God may resist some people from speaking fluently because he knew if they can, it will be to their hurt, which means if anyone can determine to live right and use his tongue aright, would be empowered by God. In fact if any dumb or slow tongue person can make up his mind to use his tongue for things of God and to be a blessing always, God will lose him if his desires are genuine. God loves kingdom focused people. James 3:6 says    And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.  It means all you have labored for can be lost by the wrong usage of your tongue. Your tongue means a lot to your life. So on this note let enumerate what can be done by the tongue.

  1. Build Up And Tear Down: Your tongue is an instrument to build up or tear down. The tongue was in use when the wall of Jericho fell down flat as they engaged it in praise, Elisha uses his tongue against those children mocking him and 42 were torn by the Bears; Joshua 6:20, 2 King 2:23-24 any woman can build her home by the right usage of her tongue or turn his families against herself by the wrong usage of the tongue Proverbs 14:1. Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. Even in the physical, to build anything to taste as desired, the use of the tongue is highly important to instruct the builders on what to do and if the government is pulling down structures, instruction matters otherwise, it may go beyond expectation.
  1. To Burn And Set Ablaze: King Nebuchadnezzar commanded that the fiery furnace should be heated seven times more and the Hebrew boys should be thrown inside and God intervened by sending his son into the fire. But for it to be known, the fire slayed those men that threw them in. Daniel 3:22-25 says  Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.    *And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.   *Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.   *He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. The king engaged his tongue to burn and to set ablaze human being like him, so also in our days, some through the wrong use of their tongue set their destiny ablaze and the gift of their seed in fire. It is good to be courteous. Peter warned the married he says 1 Peter 3:8-10  Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:  *Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.   *For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
  1. To Bless And To Curse: the Lord told his prophets to bless us the children of Israel, and gave Moses and Aaron the contents of the blessings, And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, *Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,  *The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:  *The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:   *The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.   *And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Numbers 6:22-25. Joshua also laid a curse in Joshua 6:26, And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. and that curse came to pass in 1 King 16:34.  In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.

Your tongue can be used to curse or to bless yet the Bible warns us in James 3:9-11. If you continue to use your tongue to bless and to curse at the same time, the fire will be cool off and you will turn to an ordinary personality, more so, it’s not good enough to curse always. In fact Jesus said in Mathew 5:44. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Your Response

The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. Proverb 16:1

Your Response can be can be predetermined by three personality. One is, it can be predetermined by your flesh, two it can be predetermined by the devil, that is if care is not taken the devil can speak through you. A man that looks at his first son and curse him with everything inside of him has the devil speaking through him. A woman that continue to frustrate and curse her husband has the devil speaking in her but our focus is number 3 which is God. That scripture says The preparations of the heart in man…  in other way God has given every man a responsibility to prepare his heart. If you are preparing your house for the special guest visiting; you will clean everywhere and arrange things in their rightful places, you will beautify your house for the special guest especially if it’s a top government official coming or the Mr. President. For the Almighty to take over your response, you must prepare your heart. The second part of that scripture says: and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. So you have to know that if God must take over your response then you must;

  1. You must clean up your heart. 1 John 1:8-10
  2. Purge your heart from evil. Psalm 34:14, Ephesians 5:26
  3. Engage in good thought. Proverbs 23:7
  4. Fill your heart with God’s word           Colossians 3:16
  5. Fill your heart with gratitude to God; Psalm 103:1-3

The Reason Behind Unchanging Situation;

Jesus says in Mathew 10:19-20 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.   *For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

That situation won’t change for the better as long as it’s you speaking. The case will grow worse as long as it’s your response. Looking through scripture we see God’s responses in man. When God takes over your heart then;

  • You will speak aright. Proverbs 18:21, Joel 3:10
  • Preach aright. 1Corinthians 2:4, 13
  • Talk and counsel aright. Isaiah 50:4
  • Instruct aright. Isaiah 45:11

This is the secret of signs and wonders, when your response is predetermine by God. Open your mouth wide; God says I will fill it.
