GOD HEARD ME

I pray for you that as you deep yourself into this rich word of God today, your tension, trauma and trouble of heart will be gone in Jesus name. You will come out of all the pressure of life hitherto, your destiny shall not be destroyed and

your life shall not be rusticated. It’s worthy of note that no matter how great a mountain dynamites will break it, no matter how strong an iron, it will melt in the high furnace of fire, no matter how terrible your captors, even the Devil  can’t stand God. Today is your day of testimony. This very edition of Voices From Zion

is written to bring you into your answers. Amen! Titled: GOD HEARD ME from Psalms 66:19which says But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

God Heard Me! What a claim! What a word. I believed that when this psalmist came to a point in his prayer he believed that God has heard him. The question is how would you know God heard you?

  1. When Your Faith Rise: When your heart comes to a point of handling it as if it’s already in your hand, then God has heard you. If you are praying on a particular issue and there is still unrest and anticipation, yearning and thirsting in your heart then it’s yet to be answered. One thing is you can pray until God hears you. Prayer is first answered by the assurance of the heart. So you must pray to a level that your totality says it’s done! The following scriptures back it up. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.    Mathew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
  1. When You Pick A Divine Direction: Divine direction can come as a result of answers to prayers. At times what you receive may negate your idea, which is the answer. To some others God’s direction may come in form of dream, trance, revelation, vision or by his voice. When divine direction comes as a result of prayers, it’s highly convicting such that you will know what God is saying or the step he is asking you to take. In most cases divine direction is the major way God answers our prayers. If God healed a man from cholera and he continues to live his life in an unclean environment, he will still die of health hazard, so when God speaks, he speaks to the root of the problem or shows you the way out or the way forward Habakkuk said: I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. *And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. *For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:1-3. We also saw Peter pick an heavenly vision as a result of Cornelius prayers and alms in Act 10:1-17.  Paul put forth this profound statement, he said Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: Acts 26:19. So don’t commonize night dreams, the voice of Holy Spirit or witness of the spirit; God might be speaking to you.
  1. Witnesses: At times witness is needed for you to really know that God heard you. Sometimes ago in 2014, I prayed for a barren woman and told her she’s pregnant on Thursday here in Lagos Nigeria. She got to Ibadan the next day and a prophetess told her ‘you are pregnant’. She gave birth by herself after nine month. One or two witnesses at times may come as a result of a prayer God has answered. The reason for human witness is to dissolve doubt and uplift faith (getting you assured). 2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
  1. When it happened: Yes! This is what many eyes are fixed on, but all of the above are very important too. For instance, Lazarus came out of the grave immediately Jesus called him. John 11:40-44…And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. *And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. The blind received their sight, the lepers are cleansed, the lame walked immediately Jesus ministered to them. When what you are praying for actually happened then God has heard you. So the good news is that you can pray and receive practical answers immediately, if you can put the whole of yourself into that prayer, your answer is sure. Jabez prayed and received answer immediately And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.  *And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. 1 Chronicle 4:9-10 As you call on God today he will answer you speedily in Jesus name.

We also need to look at the second part of that scripture in Psalms 66:19… he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Your voice in prayer is very much important. The question is how do we make use of our voice in prayer?

  1. Pray Silently: Or call it closet prayer. When you are praying in your room, it’s advisable to pray gently and silently, not to disturb others. Also some prayer points cannot be prayed loudly. For instance if you are praying about something shameful or something that will make the ears of others to tingle or something secrecy then you can’t loud it. Jesus said Mathew 6:5-6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. *But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  Any prayer point that will term you ‘proud’ should be prayed silently.
  1. Pray Loudly: Especially when you are praying to God for more anointing or the more of God, you have to raise your voice, at times if you are praying silently doubt will settle on your mind, so it is not advisable to pray for something that is beyond your faith silently. One of the powers of shouting is that your confidence rises, imagine the following scriptures, Elijah facing the prophet of Baal: 1 King 18:31-39 …Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again… also in verse 42 he put his face between his knees and prayed until rain fell, that cannot be a silent prayer. The Apostles gathered in Act 4:21-33 and prayed and the place they gathered was shaken, the result was that greater grace came upon them, more so if you are in long hour prayer, you need to raise your voice otherwise you may sleep off …And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:…. Read this Mathew 26:37-45, may God help us!
  1. Pray In Your Heart: it’s possible to be praying inside your heart and none is hearing a word from you. Your prayer can move heaven if it’s heartfelt. Situation may warrant it that you can’t even speak. If you are depressed or oppressed pray in your heart until you are released. If you are facing panels pray in your heart, if you are captured and ordered not to speak, cry to God in your heart and God of heaven will hear you. One thing God demanded from every living on earth is acknowledgment. If you acknowledge him, he will surely rescue you. 1Samuel 1:12-13 And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD…she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard…

GOD HEARD ME

Christians don’t pray into storage, we pray to be heard. When God hears, manifestation takes place. It’s also good to note that you can pray once and reap answers eternally. Jesus prayed in John 17:1-26 and He’s still reaping it even till now. Abraham looked up to God for Isaac and that has become the nation of Israel today. When God answers your prayer the impact may last forever. Some prayed for job yesterday, today they are employers of labour, some were sickly yesterday, today the traces of the ailment is no more in their lineage because they prayed until God answered them. Pray until God will hear you, prayer can never be too much, 1Thessalonians 5:17 says  Pray without ceasing. That’s pray non-stop. I am sure and I can loud it that…verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
