Listening and Hearkening to do as declared in Jeremiah 7:23-24
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
Every man and woman on earth today envision some certain things for themselves but as long as you can’t determine when exactly you will die and by what kind of death norr can you heal yourself whenever you are down with sickness, then you need to subscribe to God’s voice and totally submit to him.
We have a God that live far away in his heaven but yet he’s closer to us than the clothes we put on. Whenever the armed robbers come to rob us, our guards fought and chase them, but if our guards turn against us, only God can rescue us. That means, only God is worthy of our total submission. One major way it will be well with us is to heed and do his sayings to us.
God has spoken answers to some people’s heart but yet they are going around for their own kind of answers. You don’t know the way to your lasting peace and joy, none of your sibling and friends knows it, yet God is it, so obey him first through his word, the leading and voice of the Spirit, his spoke persons or any other known way God speaks to you.
The reason many are suffering retrogression and going backward very fast is because of disobedience to him that made them. What are these God’s sayings to you. You may ask. It could be
- Personal standout ethics and principle from God.
- Personal clean effortless way to exploits.
- Personal orders to living well.
- Personal steps to be taken for lifting.
- Personal light to way out.
- Scriptural guides directed to you.
If you keep to walking in the counsel of your evil heart then you have missed going forward on the journey divinely marked out for you. You may not counsel yourself aright but you need the help of the Holy Spirit and God sent teaching priest to you, more so if you are not born again you need to be because only that guarantees your access to God’s leading from time to time.
