Learning Obedience as Jesus did in Hebrew 5:8
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; *And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Most of the time we might not really understand why some of our friends, close relatives, our spouse or children suddenly or gradually drops particular character, food, practices, subjects and pick new ones which makes some of us get mad or wondered at them. The truth is that what will make each one live well and get fulfilled will be personally communicated to them. No other man is created to live like you but to fulfill God ordained mandate. Jesus, though a son of God which ought to be above all things, has the power to do, to undo for him to save us from our sins; he learned obedience by things he suffered.
Earthly pleasures and being an authority among the people is hard to trade for God’s kingdom purpose. This scripture Hebrew 5:8-9 puts before us that there are things we must do otherwise the suffering will continue. There are certain happening that will enforce you to do the right thing. If you continue to suffer for eating a particular food you will have to stop eating it, some of us carried God’s purpose on our head and some awkward things are happening to us because we have not yielded fully to this purpose. When it becomes tougher and several evil began to hit from every side, you will have to submit. So at times delay, suffering, embarrassment, failures and the likes could be as a result of
- Dragging yourself with God’s purpose for your life.
- Delaying to respond to divine offer.
- Wrong diagnose of what is actually happening.
If you are obedience to God’s law and practice biblical principles and things are still hard, then God might be demanding some few things from you. Every Christian should carry in their mind that God can make a demand of them any moment *And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
If you yield to him, what he will make of your life will be more than what you ever thought. When Jesus learnt obedience and gave himself to the demand, he became the author of eternal salvation, which his ambition and desire couldn’t have made him.
I pray for deeper understanding, but if you are not born again, you will continue to be confused. Some are called to be a pastor or evangelist but ended up becoming a Satanist because you can’t become God’s labourer without accepting his son Jesus.
