LIVING OUTSIDE YOUR POSSESSION
This is not a curse, not an advice or negative word but an instruction of the Spirit, as you follows voices from today, and you will have a new testimony. Let’s read Mark 10:17-23 which says And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? *And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. *Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. *And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. *Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. *And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. *And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
The Pathway To Success: There are what to do to be successful, there are instruction to obey, there are principles to master to be a success on the earth. Success is defined as achieving ones’ desire. Perhaps you want to be great, be a man of affluence and influence; you have to pay the price of walking in the path of becoming great. Let us consider the path to success in the story of a successful man in the Bible. Mark 10: 17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
Recognition: The rich man recognise Jesus as a good master, that’s a prove that though he was rich but knew he was nothing near the level Jesus was operating, he bow to Jesus and recognised him as a needed helper. It’s good for us to recognise to always recognise carrier of grace and the successful ones anywhere we found them, not a crooked. Don’t fill your heart with hurt against the successful, when you embrace them you are on your way to be a success too. Any good and godly virtues you see in another man love it and celebrate it, that way you’re connecting to the virtue. So learn to recognize.
Ask Questions: Don’t just keep mute around the successful, be open to ask them questions. Don’t be an onlooker and be wondering how they made it. If you have your way, get to them to learn how, what and where; they will be willing to speak to you especially if your desire to know because their is always a story behind the glory. The rich man …asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. *Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother… whenever you ask a genuine, reasonable question there is always an answer for you. Thank God for technology this days which made it to possible to read books of some of those that had succeeded in their field of calling and business. Device such as Telephone and computer system are also a major way to get across their tutelage. I pray God Almighty will grant you access to those that matter to your destiny in Jesus name

The Price Of Success: It is a general believe that to win a prize you must pay a price. What is the capital price to pay for success? Obedient To God’s Commandment. God’s commandment is for all. God is the creator of the whole earth. Psalm 24:1. God owns everything and if you must have anything in this world, you have to obey the owner – God. Therefore the word of his mouth (Holy Bible) is crucial for your earthly success. You will succeed in Jesus name. What are the commandments to obey, the price to pay among others are:
- The Ten Commandment: If you obey the ten commandment, you won’t be faulty or guilty in anyway, you won’t be a cheat, a murderer or a wicked person. You will be free from things and practices that kindle God’s anger against his creatures. People may not praise you for obeying God’s commandment but his blessing will be evidential on your life. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3
- The Commandment Of Love: Two commandments only; Love God with all your heart and it will be easy for you to love anybody else. The Love you have for God and humanity will dictate your conduct and how you relate with people and handle the things of God. Satan is actually the genesis of man’s corruption. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. *This is the first and great commandment. *And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. *On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40. Hatred is the shortcut to a lifetime of failures and deprivation. 1 John4:20-21 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? *And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- Commandment Of Giving: Giving is a major law in the Bible, you have to, and there is none who had nothing to offer to God. If you are a payer of Tithe, giver to God’s project and helper of the poor; you will sustain God’s hand upon every aspect of your life. Malachi 3:10. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38 let giving to God’s servants and gospel endeavours always be your delight.
- Commandment Of Praise: You must acknowledge God in all your ways, thank him for what He has done and praise him for the remainder. Don’t complain so that your aeroplane of success will not crash. More so praising God is a daily demand because there is none of those things you have now that you can do for yourself. Thanksgiving is a debt all the living owes. It’s dangerous not to give God all the praise. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1-5, Malachi 2:1-3
- Commandment For The Family: We are talking about a man his wife and children. When you submit a (filled) form to an organisation, you don’t request for it again. If you want to enjoy the best of your marriage do what God said in the above scripture. You don’t have genuine reasons considering two wives or divorce Ephesians 5:21-26 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God…

The knowledge expanded in this edition is great and fantastic but none of it qualifies you for eternal life. Jesus further said One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. The bible says *And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. That man was not living outside his possession, his inheritance means a lot to him, and without them he saw himself as a worthless man. The word of Jesus to him was a shocker …and went away grieved: for he had great possessions… no matter what we have gained on the earth they shouldn’t determine our relationship with God or be a blocker to our eternity. There are people that if they lose 90% of their wealth today, they will turn back from following Jesus Christ. Another profound statement of Jesus …And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! It will be hard for them if they refuse to live outside it which means don’t let it determine your happiness such that you can give it all for God and the poor if he Jesus make demand of it.
Jesus Kind Of Riches: Remember giving is a major law of God’s kingdom. Jesus said to him …Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. He couldn’t understand it that Jesus want to give him riches that won’t block his eternal life. No matter what you have, once those thing stand between you and God, it become a curse and a stumbling block. At times when God wanted to rebuild you on a clean and righteous platform, he will bring you down to grand-zero to remake you. With Jesus kind of riches you will be permanently living outside your possession. Jesus Loves You.
