It’s somehow amazing for a man to be shielded with unseen forces that are always there for his protection and guard. It’s mysterious that God calls man his friend, though not all but privileged few. In order for you to assume friendship position with God. Where all secrets and hidden treasures are made manifest to you: this edition of Voices From Zion is written and titled:
JESUS CALLED YOU FRIEND.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. John 15:15
We must adhere to the following.
Give your Life to Him: The most valuable asset every person has is life itself. God demanded for that life, he said give me that life and let me keep it for you to multiply it and make it great for you. Giving your life to Christ is the act of becoming born again. Some lives are corrupted with forces of the earth, some destinies are defiled with evil and some are suffering from Satanic attacks. Today Almighty God will set you free, but at a cost of salvation. Giving your life to Jesus Christ; If you give your life to Christ, it will become a limitless and fulfilling life. John 3:3 says Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Giving your life to Christ need no cutting, inscribing or shedding of blood. You don’t need to be beating, carry sacrifices or make some appeal to deity or goddess; it’s all by confession and surrendering to his Lordship confirmed in Romans 10:9-10 which says That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. *For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
After giving your life to Jesus Christ then you will need to let him take the lead in everything and start walking in obedience of his words. For the glory of Almighty God to start shining forth in your life, you will need to sow your life as a seed to His kingdom on earth (totally committed to him). You can’t keep this your life; you need to give it to the one that can in John 12: 23-26 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. *Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. *He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. *If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. The truth is if you hand over your life to Jesus Christ, he’s the best manager as every aspect of your life will be a blessing.
Love of God: love has capacity to change, impart and recreate. Most of us have become stagnant in life because we have denied the faith by not loving our fellow brethren. The more we walk in hatred, the farther away we are from God. The foremost attribute of God is Love in 1John 4:8-12 the bible says He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. *In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. *Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. *Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. *No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
If we Love one another, then the kingdom of God on earth will continue to expand. God’s Love is a major instrument of winning souls. Your love for others imparts on the kingdom and thereby draws you to God. The more you Love God’s people, house and word, the closer you are to God. God’s silent voice to you is I Love you. John 15:12-14 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. *Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. *Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Render Help: If we look at the core assignment of our Lord Jesus Christ, he majorly rendered help. When you received help then you will be able to do what you wanted to do but couldn’t do. If we make helping our lifestyle, we will be marvellously helped of God. It is good to note that if you will be marvellously help then you must sow seed of helping others. At times help might not come as a result of praying and fasting, but most times it will surely come as result of sowing seed of help into your life. God become part of your life as you uphold humanitarian efforts. Almighty God will lift you beyond your imagination in Jesus name. The more you help others the more your life will not lack divine assistance. At times one may wonder why some man may need help and find none but a man whom is already helped is receiving more helps from more, it is as a result of each one deed. Well doing should be in all our systems; personal, business and in the government. Yet note this scripture And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. *As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10
It’s good to note that not all born again, Lover of God and helpers of others are called friend of God. Jesus called his disciples friend because he has related with them. In fact it’s a successful relationship that leads to friendship and loyalty in friendship leads to close friendship or best friend. The disciple of Jesus were with him for the benefits and betterments of Jesus’ ministry. They went everywhere he sent them. In the relationship of Jesus with his disciples we could figure out some reasons he called them friends.
Loyalty: they were loyal to him to the level of their capacity, even Judas Isacariot was overtaken by Satan to betray him not willingly. It was stated in Luke 22:3 that Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. All through the Holy Bible we can sieve out some men and women who can be referred to as the friend of God because of their obedience to God’s command, one amidst many is Abraham. Abraham was passionate about God. He Love and help. He wasn’t greedy; he was very obedient and ready to give beyond his power to God. God called him and he obeyed, God blessed him in all things. The Bible recorded this’ But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. Isaiah 41:8. Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
Jesus On Friends: He spoke parables about friends in Luke 11:4-8 which says, And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; *For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? *And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. *I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
So for your need to be met even when it seems as if you will not be attended to, once you are Jesus’ friend, your need will be met. Also we saw in the scripture that Lazarus was Jesus friend but he was sick and died, imagine a friend to Jesus died. John 11:11-14, 34-39, 43-44 have this story These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. * Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. *Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. *Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. It really touches Jesus emotionally! And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. *Jesus wept. *Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! *And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? *Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. *Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Then Jesus set the record that only him can break.
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. *And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. Jesus will go to any extent to deliver his friend.
JESUS CALLED YOU FRIEND: If you succeed to win the heart of Jesus until he called you friend, then you will gain depth into things that are beyond you. You will not struggle like others because you have access to the secrets. Some are not struggling in their business, calling and in their home because they are trading kingdom mysteries. The secrets of God are the maker, sustainers, backup and security of man. The more loyal you are Jesus Christ, the closer you get to him. Jesus will also call you friend if you will get closer to him by doing all shared here. I decree whatever the devil has planted between you and God, to be removed now in Jesus name.
