GOD SHALL GRANT YOUR PETITION

1 Samuel 1:9-20

We thank God for speaking to us all through the Month of February 2024. In this grand finale we’ll be looking at: When Your Petition is Granted:

  1. Supernatural Change: Something will be lifted, something will turn, helps will come, something supernatural has taken place and the change will be imminent. It was the same Hannah whom the husband had met several times, yet no pregnancy for once. Her husband have been having her (making love to her) several years past but the moment her petition was granted she became pregnant and have a son.  1Samuel 1:17-19 says Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.   *And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.   *And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her.   May be you also have placed your petition before God and you have been prayed for as Eli the prophet prayed for Hannah then something supernatural had already taken place about you; you need not to worry because it will soon show.
  1. Possess It: Go on and possess it. Let your fears go and go into what God had done for you; this time with joyful look because the evil has been undone. Hannah moved in with her husband with joy (I suppose) and came out with Prophet Samuel as her son. So fear not and move now. …and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her. *Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.
  1. Pay Your Vows: God has done his part, now do your part. Until Hannah offer up Samuel to the Lord she never had other seven children. Verse 21-28. Now it’s time to pay your vows. Once you noticed that God had answered you then pay your vow. So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the Lord. *And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore. *And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head…    1 Samuel 1:27-28 For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him:  *Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord

At the point of paying your vows:

  • That problem will not re-occur anymore. Hannah never went back to barrenness.
  • That child fulfils destiny, when you delayed the vow you delay divine intentions.
  • You become the distributor of your granted petition, many relate to Hannah’s testimonies today to get theirs.
  • Power of Sustainability and Greatness is released.

More so let your vow be between you and God.
