BIBLICAL POET 14

Digging into Gods Warming for his faithful servant II Timothy 2:24   And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

This word is a command for God’s ministers. The word strive also means struggle for, fighting to, enforcing to, strangling e.t.c  In whichever way, God’s servant must not strive to get anything by force. You must get to this level that what God wants for you will surely come to you. Everyone that carries God’s name upon themselves and divine assignments in their hand must not be a victim of struggles.

Today, some servants of God are praying fervently for money, fasting to  get materials, and are only interested in the financial buoyancy of their followers; those they minister to because of return, some are organising all kind of programs to raise money and all kinds of labouring hard for many to join their  congregation. Some pastors are less concerned about their people’s spiritual growth but their pocket size and massive membership. So today we have people that will leave church and go straight to club house after church service without any fear or regard to God. Many dress worldly to church and are involve in all kinds because their shepherd is striving . Listen!

  • Those that strives dabble into sins of lying and stealing, some dip their hand into iniquity because of unruly crave for what they must get.
  • Those that are ‘position driven’ may end up becoming a murderer or an accomplice to murder. …the servant of the Lord must not strive… to get anything done but believe in God; the giver of all things. Your sender is much more than enough for you. So …be gentle unto all men… don’t strangle money out of them. Let people willingly come to your aid don’t turn your congregation to a market square to satisfy your craving. Now you have to answer the following questions:
  1. When your wants arises and are very urgent, where or who do you turn to?
  2. When shame and reproach come knocking at your door and you know not what next, what will you do?
  3. When you are relegated and not consider fit for a particular great position, what will you do? Yet the bible say these …be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, you can teach mostly by example. Stop! Striving! You mustn’t be found in it any more. Most people strive when they have lost touch with God because in the reality of divine presence there is no want of anything whatsoever, in him all our needs are met. Receive Christ today and get back on the right key. Amen.
