You are welcome to the fellowship of saints today where light dominates darkness, where solution comes for every situation, where good destiny are found and life blossoms. It’s been noted that as Christian grow spiritually into the position of spiritual Authority; they become more liable to errors and could be overtaken by pride. In order for you to keep appreciating God and not to miss the kingdom of heaven, this piece is put in your hand for your total conversion to who Almighty God can relate with anytime. For you and I to be uppermost in God’s heart and remain relevant both to this world of today and Christian world in general. This edition of Voices from Zion is written titled:
BE CONVERTED TO A LITTLE CHILD.
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, *And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:2-3
The Preface: we have come to an age where almost everyone thinks they know and can handle all situation of life. Very many see themselves as capable enough to tackle all problems that come their way. Many are yet to realise that technology get us nearer to man and far away from God. You can access human knowledge through human device but getting to God is not by pressing technological device’s button. Only a Christian that have been converted to a little child have the ability to wait on God to do what he says at all time. The world of the unsaved is totally immersed in confusion because their personal human destruction and degradation can’t be handled by the limited man. As long as you are always in charge as an adult; you are bound to keep failing or suddenly fall off.
Characteristics Of A Little Child: Every normal little child are open minded towards their parent. Hardly would you find a little child keeping malice or being resentful, in fact some little children goes with what their parent chose for them. They takes their parents by their words and totally lean on them for supply. They take to corrections and obey commands without retreat. Looking into the scriptures, we dug out the following:
When Adam Was A Little Child: He enjoyed divine companion and was in charge in the garden of Eden, he enjoyed every aspect of his life until he goes against the order of his parent. Genesis 3:6-11, So also are many of us today, we act as if we know by wrongly explaining God out of the context of His word and want to live our day to day life against what he ordered. Some are propounding theories that make them look less towards God and focus more on self and today’s world or even the devil. Let’s reason with the following Biblical Subjects:
- TITHE: Malachi 3:10-12 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. *And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. *And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts. There are bible teachers of doom and preachers of errors around us today, who speaks against payment of tithe, yet if one give a close look into their life, you will notice the absence of God’s real blessings. The word said …for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts. So if they are not, you need not to listen to them. Their problem is that, they are an adult and they knew better than God himself. As along as you find it difficult to bow to scriptural commands but rather twist scriptures to suite your points; the present day evil and devil’s handiwork will be seen all over you. Just as we have men and women who have through paying of tithe risen in business and does great exploit in life, so also are others who had jeopardized a great aspect of their life and become harmful to their children and others by not paying their tithe. 1 Kings 21:20-26 And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord. *Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, *And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin. *And of Jezebel also spake the Lord, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. *Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat. *But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. *And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.
To lead and teach people against God’s order, you are causing them to sin and it is an abomination to God. Your words and deeds will surely attract terrible tribulation and curses from God such as read above. No man has power to cancel or rewrite any aspect of the scripture. Once you make others fall, you won’t stand.
- Sex Before Marriage: Some can argue this biologically, psychologically, physiologically and medically to any length. We must understand that God’s word is final and we must enforce our self to obey it. We must yield oneself to the command of scriptures, there may be alteration in church assembly’s rules but the commandment of scriptures must never be out of fashion to us. Sex before marriage is wrong, once a Christian is involved in it, such have grew beyond correction and being faulty in one makes you faulty in all. 1 Corinthians 13:6-7 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; *Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. A little child will not violate the laws of his parent. Once you start reacting against the truth, what you will pay back will be beyond you. Until you are legally married, their should be no sexual cohabiting between you two. At times judgment to disobedient might be instant, and to some they live with the evil circumstances they bought by their disobedience to God’s order. When Adam and eve ate the forbidden sweet fruit, the generation of man is still paying the price today.
- The Love Of Money: At no point will God share his glory with any, you can’t love God so much and also love money so much. The love of money has crept into the church today that people can even do anything to get it. Some gospel minister encourages their member to get rich anyhow, anyway, even if it’s an unrighteous way, and that’s the reason they don’t rest. 1 Timothy 6:6-10 But godliness with contentment is great gain. *For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. *And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. *But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. *For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. No matter what people say about you, it’s better to live by God’s blessing and not by Love of money. If you intentionally plant your life around money, fill your eyes with covetousness and overtaken by the love of money, you will end the way those with such evil character end Matthew 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. Little children live by the blessing of their caring parents so deal with forces that want to move you against the law of God.
Conversion To A Little Child: Jesus our Saviour expected us to be converted to a little child if we must enjoy God’s blessing prepared for us. One major reason we need to be converted to a little child is that reigning with Jesus Christ is highly demanding and you have to yield yourself to the demand less you retreat. Some Christians can fast, pray and climb mountains to pray to demand for things that will benefit them but not things that will benefit the church of Christ (the propagation of the gospel on earth).
When You Become A Little Child:
- You will enjoy divine companion: God becomes more real to you, enjoy divine intimacy and your song will be Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11
- You will become a custodian of divine secrets: You will know so many things about God that no one knows. It’s believed that If Moses was the writer of Genesis then God must have told him. He was one of the greatest mortals because God confides his secrets in him. Ps 119:97-101 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. *Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me…
- You Struggle Less: because your heavenly father will begin to bare your burden, he has the broadest shoulders, he can carry all your burdens and help you. After all, he said Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
- You Enjoy Divine Provision: As long as you remain a converted child, your daily provision is guaranteed. Once you obey God on what to do to enjoy affluence and withdraw daily blessings, it will never cease. You will soon be singing saying Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Psalm 68:19 The advantages of being converted to a child before God is innumerable and beyond counting, but you must know how to:
- Deal with self and bring it under the dictate of God’s word.
- Upload the word in your heart and let it reflect in your actions
- Continuously fight pride and lust.
- Always ready to let go anything God demands from you, and that way, you will become the apple of his eyes.
