IN THE POTTER’S HAND Prt 3

IN THE POTTER’S HAND Prt 3

The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, *Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. *Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. *And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Jeremiah 18:1-4

Many that are seated here today are like that vessel in the hand of the potter. God the potter, you the vessel got broken in the hand of the potter and the potter is here today to fix you. Let’s answer some questions:

  1. Why were we not fix immediately we got broken?
  2. Why do some aspects of our life remain unfixed?
  3. What was God the Potter doing, while I got broken?

All of these questions are just one question. You have problems that have defiled your known solution, yet thank God that you are in the potter’s house already and his hand is already working on you.

The difference between the potter’s clay and human today are written in Genesis 2:5-7 which says

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. *But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.  *And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God made you originally of the clay but breathed life into you. He gave man simple laws in the garden but when they disobey, they were sent out to suffering. It was not the will of God to send man out of the garden but his disobedience purchased the suffering for him. Genesis 3:1-24. The Lord also said …My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Genesis 6:3

So man became a creature of choice. Deuteronomy 30:19 The life you are living now is your choice and may not be His will. If you remain sick, in pains or poor; it’s your choice. Whatever you are suffering currently might not be the devil’s attack but your choice, yet you can step out of it. The clay had no choice in the hand of the potter but many have taken themselves off his hands by the choice they make. We want to be fixed but we don’t want to submit to the potter. We want to be beautiful and perfect vessel but we refused the hand of the potter on us. If you can just allow the potter to have you fully, you will come out beautiful.

The Potter’s House Your beauty is in process from the moment you keep yourself in the potter’s house. Psalm 84:4-10 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. *Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.  *Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.  *They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.  *O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. *Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.  *For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.  The real potter’s houses are places where wonders are happening. Stop attending churches where you can’t see signs and wonders. If God is in their midst in that church assembly and the ministers are not sleepy, signs and wonders will be evident. A testimony-dry church is not a good place to worship. If you can’t notice a visible change of life there, please stop going there. A place where people’s story are changing for the better is a place to worship. This fellowship is a place to be, and let all sleepy ministers wake up and take charge. People have problems and seeking Jesus Christ for solutions, so we can’t afford to keep watching as ministers. If you are truly serving God and ministering life to the people, your assembly will be evolving.

The Potter’s Hand: In his house, his major instrument of making is his word. Jeremiah 8:30-36 As he spake these words, many believed on him. *Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; *And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  *They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? *Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. *And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. *If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

The force that ties you to destruction is sin and by his word sin is dealt with and your freedom is certain. Give your Life to Christ and His hand will go to work in your life as you dwell in his house.
