Many used to say “I am the manager of my life” how true is that? When you don’t even know the source of your breathe neither can you determine your life span, you can’t even elongate your life or stop yourself from aging. I think such statement is a fallacy. Many human on earth today are yet to agree that they are here to fulfil the will of their creator but wanted to live their dream. Nothing is more frustrating when your life is out of order because everything will be against you and you won’t last. Human are not made to depend on self, fulfil self imagination or lean on others all though life. Your greatest mistake in life is to want to be what God had not made you to be. Life becomes easy, rewarding and fulfilling when you live for the creator that created you. Many human on earths are responsible for their calamities because they kept on living wrongly and imagining wrongly. For you to be free and live as expected of you daily, This edition of voice from Zion is titled:
STOP FIGHTING SELF Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Stop Fighting Self: You will continue to fight self; if you won’t allow God to have his way, you can become anything but outside of God’s purpose for you, is no peace and no thorough fare. Many had walked into regret because they could not find purpose. There are highly placed individuals that never wish that their own children missed it as they did. They have several properties, built big businesses but still found themselves unfulfilled on the inside because all they have achieved is none of their purpose. Purpose is God’s engine of fulfilment in man. God had a purpose for your life and the discovery of that purpose is your responsibility. It has been noted that the devil deceived many to live totally opposite of what God had made them to be. Men and women of purpose in the bible are numerous. Let’s look at this few:
- Jeremiah 1:4-5 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, *Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Jeremiah was preordained a prophet before he was born. If he had picked carpentry work or he became an army man; that would have been outside of God’s purpose for him. When he fulfilled his purpose his impact and exploit was was recorded in the Holy bible. He spoke in places where ordinary men can’t speaks, he spoke to people in power and speak to kingdoms because he was sent. From the life of Jeremiah we may deduce that you may not be able to do what others are doing neither can they do what you are sent to do. Jeremiah would have, have self to contend with if he had not surrender to fulfil the call of his maker. Jeremiah 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.
- Samson: Judges 13:1-5, 24-25 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.
*And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. *Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: *For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. *…And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him. *And the Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.
We could see that Samson’s destiny had been preordained by God, the end has been declared from the beginning. This is a big lesson to everyone, because some are granted grace of God to grow in God’s purpose, they need not to discover because they were divinely privileged to be fulfilling purpose already. So if you know that you are divinely privileged to be walking in the centre of God’s purpose for your life then stay put, cultivate it and don’t lose your purpose through disobedient and die with your haters as Samson whose eyes they pluck out. Judges 16:28-31 saint such as Moses, Deborah, Paul the apostle, Joseph, Daniel… fulfilled purpose and the calling of their God, but men like king Saul, Pharaoh, women such as Jezebel, fell out of destiny as they were instrument of destructions. In other for every one of us to stop fighting self we need to look deep into Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
- Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done…The End Is Fixed. At times battle may be tough, what the devil had thrown at you is life threatening and it seems as if you may die. Hold on to what has been declared. If health, prosperity, safety and blessing had been declared on you, then hold to it and take away your eyes from the devil’s ranting and harassments because God’s word has gone forth. You are too weak to stand the way of the declared God’s word the bible says For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. *For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: * So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:9-11. Once he had said it, and you receive it, then you are settled. One of the main way people fight self is to be looking for way to bend and dodge God’s instruction, you will end up tearing yourself apart. God won’t change his mind because you don’t want what he has presented to you. It’s high time we surrender to his will, one thing is sure. The end is fixed, let’s read this: Job 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Eccl 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
The end is nice, the end is fine, and at the end you will glorify God.
- Beware Of Efforts In Futility: How would you think of stopping the sun from shining, or blocking the earth from running evaporation and rainfall. How would you try to stop the summer, winter and raining seasons. How would you stop the ground from bringing forth herbs? It’s futile efforts. God declared it in Genesis 1:26-31, you can’t stop God declared progression. No matter the war and plague outbreak, no virus can clear all human, none! Any man trying to stop what God had already declared it will be efforts in futility. You can’t stop women from bringing forth no matter what is released into the air; the word of God will neutralize it. Fighting landmarks is fighting God. Fighting creation is fighting God, and fighting God is fighting self. More so, just as the sun, the moon and others in the galaxy could not be stop no man or devil can stop God’s workings (purpose) in your life. Rely on God Ecclesiastes 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
…saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
It doesn’t matter what is happening, God’s Counsel Will Surely Stand: there are two phase of this: stand for you or stand against you. If you are living according to dictate or purpose of God; God’s counsel will surely stand for you. If you believe and stand by his word, his counsel will surely stand for you but the counsel of God got Pharaoh and host buried in the red sea, in Exodus 14, and against Hiel when he rebuilt the wall of Jericho in I king 16:34.
God Will Do All His Pleasure: God is not wicked! but at times he allows us to suffer so that he will make a show of us to the whole world. Your trouble of today is temporal not eternal. Some became great today though many people thought they won’t amount to anything worthwhile in life, yet God turned out great treasure out of trash. It’s the father’s pleasure for you to be greater than your imagination, I’m glad to let you know that He loves you, and He’s is working out something great for you. (Accept his son Jesus) Be blessed.
