Looking into the meaning of Jesus sayings in Mark 10:28-30
There is what to do to connect one to heavenly provisions. People do a whole lot to acquire things they need, they do all sorts to sustain their ranks and many also struggle in their families. There is nothing you are doing for yourself today that cannot be easily gotten in Christ Jesus. In him we have all abundance. Peter was inquisitive in Mark 10:28 which says Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. And Mark 10: 29-30 says And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, *But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
There is nothing that is too much to leave for the gospel’s sake. Anything that is yours (possessions and God-given) can be left (for a while) for the gospel’s sake. Jesus meant to say; the only way to multiply anything you have now is to leave (stay off) it for the gospel’s sake when required. The bible mention …hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land….
- Your commitment to God’s work might affect you by stepping away from your house: your household, business and everything under your care.
- Going after the Gospel work might cause you to go far away from your brethren, sisters, parent, wife and children sometimes. Each time your time with them is sacrificed for God, you are tapping into God’s divine provisions to fill-in the gap. Their were children trained and watched over by parents and even close relatives but still went haywire, but through serving the Lord what you can’t achieve in them becomes easier as God steps in. Whatsoever you leave for the gospel’s sake is a seed unto the Lord and you will reap it one hundredfold. There are people who stick to those things and reap nothing at the end and some got stocked and ended shamefully. Anything you stick to more than God is your god. There are orphans in our churches whom the places of their parents and siblings aren’t vacant but we also have men and women whom their siblings and possessions are the troubles of their lives. You can switch over to God taking care of you. Time given to God is an investment which you won’t regret. Giving (yourself) to Gospel work is never a waste.
Let your eyes be on the hundred fold. So Jesus covenanted with you hundred fold return of everything you left for his gospel’s sake. But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, The way to untold height, flourishing, peaceful life and blessings of all good kind is leave all for his sake.
