Paying Attention To 2nd Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
We are already in an age where we need not to do much to fall into sins. We didn’t need to do much before we are out of tune with God. We have come to an era where a ‘YES’ and ‘NO’ can sentence one into an eternal slavery of Satan. We are in such an age that all what Satan requires from you to defile you is just to overlook some wrongs. In these days sins
- Are pleasurable
- Come with financial gains
- Makes you famous
- Get you connected to earthly fortune.
- Separate you from the saints.
More so because many couldn’t resist the pleasures that come along with sins and failed to deny themselves from some revenue of sins makes one bound to it. We are in that age and time where sin is glorified and looks as if harmless. Some church goers are found in some errors and couldn’t free themselves because it is pleasurable to them. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure… that foundation is purity; being cleansed from all forms of defilement. Anyone who couldn’t deny himself of some pleasure cannot be on that foundation of the Lord which is righteousness. No matter what we venture into the foundation of God stands sure. …having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. They are not hidden from him, if you are truly serving the Lord in righteousness; He knows you! Finally …And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. You might have wondered why you prayed and yet you abide with terrible problem, all your church activities couldn’t draw God’s hand upon your life and now you are left with running around. If you desire to wear heaven as a cloak and be a solution carrier to political, spiritual, marital… problems then pay attention to God’s word in 2nd Timothy 2:19 which says:-
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
New Living Translation: But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,”* and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”
