CONTRITE HEART
The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; *Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; *Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; *Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. *We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions. *Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. *Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. *They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. *Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call. Psalm 20:1-9 The Only cure a troubled heart need is good news. The word of God has all the good news you want to hear.
Psalm 20:1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
God will hear you today; you shall no longer be left in your troubles. Jehovah God will hear you today. Exodus 2:23-25 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. *And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. *And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.
Today God will break everything holding you down. He remembered the Israelites in Egypt in the heat of their afflictions, he will remember you today. You need to rise up and cry to God again until he hears and answers you. There is a God in heaven that answers prayers. He’s the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.
The word said…and they cried, and their came up unto God by reason of the bondage. You must cry unto God, God will never turn his back against the cry of his people. If you have not been heard, then you haven’t cried enough. There is help for you in God. Can you rise up on your feet and pray these prayers:
- Oh Lord Jesus deliver from this bondage, I can’t bare it anymore.
- Oh Lord deliver me from these sicknesses and heal my pains.
- Oh Lord at this very point; I need your help.
- Have mercy on me Lord.
Read this interesting testimony from Mark 10:46-52
And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. * And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. *And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. *And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. *And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. *And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. *And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Please I like you to understand, that Lord Jesus is passing through these pages now and if you will cry for mercy; he will surely answer.
You must not end this year this way. These problems must not continue therefore look within and rise to pray against every opposition facing you.
- Oh Lord let darkness be gone from me by the outbreak of your light.
- Oh Lord let those that took interest in my delay be use as raw material for my lift up.
- Oh Lord Jesus let me be bombarded with so many good news.
- Lord let my dead vision arise again, let my troubles be gone and I shall not die in this way.
Psalm 20:2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
God Almighty is the helper of the helpless. He helps Joseph in the prison, He help David against Goliath; He will help you today! The reason many remain helpless is because they are too far from the sanctuary the presence of God. You must come to this understanding that in church (gathering of God’s people); He fixes us. There in his presence we are energised to win battles, run through a troop and leap over the walls. Psalm 84: 7 says They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. If you are not addicted to Church, you will be a weak person.
The reason the enemy is fighting Churches in our generation; is because he’s aware that the Church holds the keys to world peace and serenity. If you are not a member of any church please join one today.
The variance in Churches, the insult and assault on God’s people are not enough reason for you not to be part of God’s assembly this end time. The following scriptures will be a great blessing. Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body.
The Church of Jesus Christ is the Ark of the end time; if you are not found inside, you are lost forever. Genesis 7:1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
It’s high time you find your safety in God because outside His presence chaos and calamity of all kinds awaits you. The way into the Ark of this end time is salvation, some are in the midst of God’s people but are not known by God because they have not surrendered their life to Jesus Christ. It’s after you are saved, born again John 3:3-16 that you will be numbered with the saints otherwise your presence in Church services and meetings is nothing if you are still outside the Ark of safety. Would you like to give your life to Christ, if yes say?
Lord Jesus I receive you today as my Lord and personal Saviour, forgive me my sins, wash me with your blood, deliver me from Satan and set me free from bondage of hell, Amen!
Our prayers must be answered if we can obey God’s word. Psalm 20:3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice;
- Bring An Offering: The reason why many people are refreshed in Church meetings and not delivered is because their hands are empty before God. If you come to God empty handed you might return back home empty because offering is one of the criteria that endears us to God. You are not buying miracles with money but simply obeying scriptural injunctions.
- Be Expectant: Don’t Come to God empty minded because it’s a shortcut to all round emptiness. Though economics told us that human wants are insatiable but you must mention your present need before God. Please don’t be a complainer, always glorify God, pray to be heard with all your heart. Hebrew 4:16 come boldly not beggarly.
- Glorify God: This is hard for some persons to do, especially if they are still in that trouble. Let’s learn from father Abraham in Romans 4:16-22 …He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;… he was rejoicing in an unseen miracle and he later received it. You shall receive yours too in Jesus name. Celebrate God for all His goodness and withdraw yourselves from your own opinion. If you can be glorifying God, He will fulfil your petitions.
Psalm 20:5 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. Every problem is like question on your destiny which has answers only in God.
Psalm 20:6 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions. Our Lord Jesus will always have his way in any situation if we allow him. You must learn from every problem you had, how you came out of them, why?. So that afflictions will not rise the second time. Nahum 1:9 What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. It will be known to many that God answers prayers, also that God is our heavenly father and He cares. After you have been settled you will learn many lessons. Please keep whatever God shows you and your testimony will be long lasting.
Psalm 20:7-8 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. *Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. *They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. This is horror to Christianity; don’t trust in anything or man in replacement of God. Trust in the Lord for answers. Trust in the Lord means ‘commit your life into his hands’ you will find it difficult to come out of trouble through your human based strategies. A man living at Ibadan Oyo State Nigeria, was praying to own a car for two years, he never got it. One day came, he was tired, he went after witch doctor and they helped him out. He bought the car and died in an auto accident two weeks after. The car was damaged beyond repair. This was shared at his burial and confirmed by the wife. Don’t go for alternative, the result may be unbearable. If a married woman became unfaithful as the man there will be an uproar in the family and may lead to divorce.
People of God, you can shout; Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call. Psalm 20:9
