HOW DO I LOOK?
Talking about appearance and the human structure, the Holy Bible uses the following to qualify them:
- Very Good: After God created all things and man, he said these two words ‘very good’. The word very good could also mean perfect, exactly or as I want it. Genesis 1:31
- Very Fair: This talk about human flesh especially a woman with no wrinkles, rashes or any other skin diseases. It referred to smooth and no spot, which can also be interpreted as beautiful. It is noted that both black and white women can be tagged very fair. Genesis 12:11, 24:16.
- Ruddy, beautiful countenance and good to look upon was the way the KJV bible referred to David when Prophet Samuel sent for him. 1 Samuel 16:12 says And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
The word ruddy means reddish, rosy, flushed, glowing and healthy-looking.
Whenever you appear beautiful his glory overshadows you because you are doing good to the you God had made. You are being kind to the you God created. Looking good is good. When you look tattered, it doesn’t glorify your creator.
Your Appearance: can command respect for you, it can enforce attention towards you. Hardly would you find a beautiful woman or a very handsome man took picture with a ragged beggars.
Some had this natural beauty, their eye balls is calling, their body shape is lovely, their elegance is breathe taken; they are naturally very fair to look upon. Esther 2:15-18 your beauty can bring you into honour and can sell you to the king by favour. Some had through their beauty and handsomeness won the heart of people to themselves.
Appearance Doesn’t Guarantee The Following:
Beauty can be as a result of taking care of one’s body which doesn’t guaranteed good inner quality. When it comes to marriage, looking for good hands on your job or choosing kind-hearted friends, good looking can be a betrayal. The most terrifying about man is that only God knows the heart. 1Samuel 16:9-13 had it being that Eliab was picked as the king, Israel would have had another lanky problem because the current King Saul was lanky and taller than others but he was a man of himself and unpleasant characters. God sought for a man after his own heart. 1 Samuel 13:14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.
Though David was of a beautiful countenance, yet he possessed a good heart and God sought for him. What matters to God the most is the person of the inside not just the person of the outward appearance.
Bible Characters That Fell By Being Lust After Appearance:
- Adam: Genesis 2:18-25 their wasn’t assessment of characters, the moment he saw her, he received her totally into his life. No training, no examination and failure was inevitable. No matter how long you have been waiting for such man or woman in your life, it is good to run character check. So you would know what you can bare and abide with. You need to go for (good) character because even the beauty of Eve could do nothing to rescue them both from the consequences of their disobedience. Don’t give-in to beauty only, no matter the beauty and how handsome, enquire and thank God we have the Spirit of truth. John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
- Father Abraham: Genesis 11:29 their were proves that the Love bond between Abraham and his wife Sarah wasn’t base on the outward appearance but real love of the heart. Most men that are crazy over women can do anything to shield the woman from anyone even in the face of death. Abraham for life’s sake was willing to let-in strangers to have his wife but God intervene. it is recorded in Genesis 12:10-20 which read thus And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. *And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: *Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive. * Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee. *And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair. *The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house. *And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels. *And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife. *And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? *Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way. *And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had. Men that are obsessed of a woman can do anything, there are stories of men that were killed for trying to shield there wife from being sexually harassed. More so, Jesus has taught us to always pray this very prayer points And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:13 Whenever the unexpected is about to happen; Jesus will step in.
- Joseph: Mary’s Husband: Every man loved their wife for something, most men that respected their wife do because of her inner qualities. Such was that of Joseph even while he wanted to let her go privately for culture and the law sake he yielded to the voice of God’s Angel and embraced her. No man wants to lose such a peaceful woman that is a great blessing to him. It will take some level of oneness with God for a man to marry a woman that carries HolyGhost pregnancy. There are women who had been truncated this way even in this generation and there would-be husband still married them. No matter what! Let-in God. Matthew 1:18-19 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. *Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
- Isaac-Father Abraham’s Son: You might not be lucky to meet your wife by yourself it might be through your parent or friends or even your spiritual parents (pastors) which they might have even seal the deal before bringing her to you. Some men in our life knew who we are and can help to bring the suitable spouse into our life, such was the prayer of father Abraham. Yet the truth is that whoever came into your life with awkward and uncertain character will not sprout your happiness and comfort all the time. Rebekah was a character to be imbibe by all women in the waiting room. The prayer of Abraham was Genesis 24:1-8…The Lord God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence. *And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.
The Character Of Rebekah: Genesis 24:15-22 ….And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. *And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. *And she said, DRINK, MY LORD: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink. *And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking. *And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels. *And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the Lord had made his journey prosperous or not. *And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man TOOK A GOLDEN EARRING of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;
- Samson: The story of Samson proved to all men that ‘it sweets me’ does not meant that ‘it is good for me.’ Sugar tastes sweet, honey tastes sweet also and even chocolate is sweet but might not be good for you. Hardly would medical personnel recommend sweet substances for healings. Most of the bitter herbs are good for the healing of our body. Neither do most medicines taste sweet. Samson couldn’t take off his eyes from sexy and romantic beautiful women and died in the court of his enemies after they have plucked out his eyes. Most of our Christian brothers that love strange women in their heart are heading for a trap. I Pray for mercy. It is good to note that a man that is held down by fornication needs more of prayers from the brethren to be free, your counsels and advices may do nothing but when you introduce God’s power, they will be rescued. The Fall Of The Mighty Samson: Judges 14:1-3 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines. *And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife. *Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well. Judges 16:4-6 And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. *And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver. *And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.
Fornication might be a problem so hard to deal with yet by light from the scriptures and strength from God; you will step out of it. Ask for grace.
HOW DO I LOOK?
God’s Image: Every man on earth might have been born by some man and woman. When you trace your genealogy and physical look you will later discover that you look exactly as the one that created you not the one that gave birth to you. To this effect you should draw people that cherish and love you to him that created you not yourself or parent all the time, neither should your beauty be used as a snare to any.
How were you created? You were made with clay and God breathed in to you and you became a living soul. So you have God in you and that’s the reason you keep looking for him, may you end with him in your extreme old age in Jesus name. Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
You need to always look gorgeous and acceptable. Some have focus more on building their good character and stronger spirituality but aren’t favoured because they will only sell more of what they are inside with their glistering appearance.
A Word to the deformed: worse situation such as blindness, amputation, paralysis, maim, deafness, dumbness and others are treated free by our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s being noted that most deformed people are always down couldn’t found their happiness because of the state of their body yet if you can come to Jesus with the whole of your heart void of all offences you will be fixed. While not step down to the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to see great miracles Jesus is about to perform in your life.
