NAKEDNESS; The Private Part
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. Genesis 3:21 From the standpoint of the scriptures, some of the teachings on sexual intercourse cannot be basically proved except one want to stand with fact and push aside the truth. If the preaching of the gospel is not totally out of the truth; the Holy Bible supported counsels then it’s simply (head) knowledge of men. Most of what people affirmed as research results today are just assumptions of men. It doesn’t have the right basis. If you are a Bible believer you will note that there were no prove that sexual intercourse between Adam and Eve ever existed. They never did it (while still in the Garden) their private parts was not private to them. It was just as any other part of their body. There was nothing special about Adam’s manhood and Eve’s virginal. They were just fine and not drawn to each other sexually. Here is what the Bible says Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. *And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. Genesis 2:24-25.
Yet immediately they fell by eating the forbidden fruit, their private part became private to them. Genesis 3:6-13 says And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. *And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. *And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. *And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? *And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. *And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? *And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. *And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. That was their fall. Some words stood out here
- And the eyes of them both were opened…
- They knew that they were naked…
- They sewed fig leaves…
- I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid…
None of these words were referring to their supernatural life but their natural state of life. Their questions we should ask ourselves:
- Why are they covering their nakedness?
- Why sowing leaves for covering?
- Why are they running from God?
One major thing about men and women is that the sin of disobedient powers our private parts for our destructions. Man was reduced from his supernatural state of life to natural man under the control of his flesh. Man became vulnerable and could be buffeted by the deceiver. Before the fall he had no desire for sex but after the fall he began to look for it.
NAKEDNESS; The Private Part
The nakedness of man and woman became very important to them both and even to God. Here is what God did. Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. Yet it is disheartening and becoming a sorry case as this generation is leaving the coat of skins to fig leaves. The nakedness of a man and a woman was of utmost important to God that he had to clothe them.
Several Laws and Scriptures On Nakedness:
And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty. *And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office. *And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach: *And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him. Exodus 28:40-43,
Leviticus 18:6-20 None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord. *The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. *The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness. *The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. *The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness. * The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. *Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman. *Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman. *Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt. *Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. *Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness. *Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness. *Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time. *Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness. *Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.
HOW POWERFUL IS HUMAN NAKEDNESS:
- There in is the mystery of reproduction. Genesis 4:1
- The mystery of oneness. 1Corinthians 6:16
- The mystery of blood covenant. Hebrew 9:6-7
- The mystery of lust and lasciviousness. 2Samuel 13:1-18
- The mystery of magnetic force between male and female. Genesis 34:1-3
- Mystery of deception which no man can overcome but have to flee. 1Corinthians 6:18
- Mystery of untimely death via sexual perversions and addictions. Proverbs 7:7-23
- Anyone that has had sex before can always fall by it. Job 31:1
YOU NEED GRACE:
For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. *And he said unto me, MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2nd Corinthians 12:9
Our world of today is gradually turning to a kind of immoral glorified world. Instrument of deceptions are now used for products advertisement. Sex shops and brothel all over the places. Many are not concerned about the negative impact of their engagement as long as it will fetch them money. Tattered revealing harlotry dresses are still been sold daily, promotion of inordinate sex in songs and pictures are all over the places. The gates to hell are getting wider, you need grace to look and not see when nakedness (private parts) is presented to you. You need greater grace when the devil is bent in getting hold of you to fall. You shall not fall in Jesus name.
Some Biblical Characters and Nakedness:
- Noah: Cursed Canaan for what his father did to him. Never gaze into your parents nakedness or left them naked even if they are drunkard or worse sinners. Genesis 9:19-29
- Onan: was killed by God for his wickedness. Divinity works through sexual intercourse for procreation but Onan try to be wiser and he died for it. Genesis 38:6-10 And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar. *And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord slew him. *And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. *And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. *And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also.
- David: Saw the nakedness of his servant’s wife and it got hold on him. The king get down on her feet and she became pregnant. When all diversion efforts failed, the innocent blood was shed and God’s wrought was kindled. 2Samuel 11:1-27, 16:21-23.
- The Corinthians Church: 1 Corinthian 5:1-5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife. *And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? *Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. *When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, *hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature a may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.
Even till now the sexual sins in some church congregation is highly demoralizing.
Christians And Nakedness
Act 15:28-29 says For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; *That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Being born again and having the nature of Christ do not totally kill the motions of our flesh but help us to live towards God and be free from all forms of defilements. It’s good if we can curtail ourselves from viewing nakedness. We should be clothed and not be half naked. Truly your heart is what matters to God but the number of people you send to hell via your dressing will deny you access to the heavenly. You need not to watch naked women or men to be sexually aroused. You need not to learn sex to have sex, it’s already in you. If you pay attention to God, He will reorder your life. It’s today; your immoral act is gone from you, in Jesus name.
